Phalaenopsis Orchid (Moth Orchid)
Phalaenopsis (or Moth Orchid) have butterfly-shaped flowers in colours such as white, pink, purple and also many bicolour.

Enjoy a light spot, but not direct exposure to bright sunshine.

Regularly, but moderately water by misting on the leaves, but not on the flower heads and add about a table spoon of water on the roots every week. Ideally using boiled and cooled water.

Feed with Orchid fertiliser every 2 weeks in summer or 4 weeks in winter.

Cut back stems after flowers fade just below node, which produced the first flower.
After a rest period of a few weeks, your orchid may reflower after feeding and increased watering. This may take a few months.
