Tulip Care
Our Tulips are grown in the Netherlands. They are so fresh that they actually continue growing after being cut and naturally bend toward sources of light. Your tulips may already have a gentle arc and tendency to lean over the edge of the vase. Vase life is up to seven days.
-
For straighter stems, Leave your tulips wrapped and place in a vase of water – ideally under light source – for a couple of hours before arranging
-
Remove the leaves below the water line.
-
While holding the stem under water, cut 2 to 3 cm off the stems. Do not let the freshly cut stem dry out.
-
Fill a vase with water and add the flower condition, which came with your bouquet.
-
If possible leave your flowers in a cool dark room to condition for a few hours after arranging.
-
Temperature is an important factor in the vase life of these flowers. So display your fresh cut Tulips in a cool area, out of direct sunlight and away from drafts and heat.
-
Tulips drink a lot of water, so it is important to check the vase is full daily.
